New Exotics, Armor & Ornaments!

We saw a ton of new stuff in the stream and ViDoc today. Here are a few more gear updates we were able to glean from the stream: First off, Bungie showed us a clip of the new SIVA themed Exotic Pulse Rifle first described in the Game Informer Article a few weeks back, and assuming nothing changes before launch it works as advertised. That is, on a Precision kill, a swarm of red SIVA bolts shoots out and seeks nearby enemies. This thing looks seriously fun to use, and probably can do a real number on groups of enemies because

Private Matchmaking First time we get to go fighting through a social space and in a blizzard. Ornaments look bad ass. The Wretched Eye strike features a blind ogre who had his eye stolen by a Fallen Captain and attached to a gun. The Ogre tries to crush you while the Captain shoots you with the eye blast. Private Matches & Supremacy Guide!

Collection Edition & PS Exclusives

Bungie has continued the tradition they began last year, heralding the release of a new major update to Destiny with a collection of all past content to bring new and returning players up to speed. The name of this year’s release has a hint of finality about it, suggesting it is intended to be all-inclusive and lending strength to the common belief that there will be no further paid Destiny 1 content prior to Destiny 2’s release next year. Destiny The Collection is available for pre-order now, and will cost $60 for new and returning players. It includes: Destiny Crota’s

PvP Legends

PvP Legends is a new leaderboard that helps Guardians gain a deeper insight into their Crucible standings. You can research your opponents and analyze your own performance in the same place you find your news, reviews, weapon stats, and fireteams. Legends uses a variant of the standard Elo rating system, adapted for Destiny’s gameplay. The basic principles are as follows: all players start with rating of 1200; each match contributes to player’s rating; winning a match raises rating, losing a match lowers it; winning against more skilled opponents gives you more points Physics professor Arpad Elo invented the system for
