The Guardians at the Head of the Dinner Table
In a Community Spotlight today, DeeJ profiled one of the many new groups springing up now that we’ve actually got to play the game. Dads of Destiny is, surprise, a group of gaming dads looking to play Destiny with other like-minded individuals that have similar schedules and family needs. As a perfect example of players helping players, and making good use of the new clan and alliance system, Dads of Destiny consists of a main group that everyone is welcome to join and a separate clan for each available platform, even differentiating timezones to optimize clan playtime. When asked who
Grimoire Cards Explained
Do you know what Grimoire cards are? No? Well then check out MoreConsole’s latest video explaining this key element to understanding the Destiny universe. If you weren’t a part of the Destiny Alpha, you missed out on the Alpha website, which was presumably just a taste of the experience we’ll have during the final release of the game.
Crucible Gametype Prediction
[divider] If you’ve played Destiny Alpha, then you’ve probably paid a visit to the crucible. If you’ve gone to the crucible, you’ve seen the photo above. These are the crucible gametypes. The only one that is confirmed and playable is Control, (like Territories) but that doesn’t mean we can’t make some pretty good guesses based on the seemingly obvious symbols given. From left to right: Control, Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Multi-Team (4 Fireteams of 3) and Ghost Ball. (Maybe like Oddball or Griff Ball?) So, Guardians. What do you think will be your favorite gametype? Granted, even if
Marty O’Donnell Terminated From Bungie
[divider] On April 15th 2014, Marty O’Donnell announced on his twitter account that on April 11th Bungie’s board of directors terminated him without cause. The news has spread like wild fire across the web. But no sources know of any reason. Hopefully, the Bungie B.O.D will give us a statement soon. Because I don’t know about you guys, but the music in a game is pretty important to me. And no one does that kind of music better, than the great sir Marty O’Donnell. You can wish him well on his twitter account. https://twitter.com/MartyTheElder/status/456303189998841856
The Lore of Destiny
It may be hard to believe, but Bungie’s Destiny has been in the works ever since the time of Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST. ‘Destiny Awaits’ read the poster plastered to the street-side wall in ODST, a Destiny teaser that preceded the games announcement by almost three years. Following that, Bungie’s suspect trademark of the ‘Bungie Aerospace’ domain kept us all wondering even more, before an official announcement set in stone Destiny’s origin back in late 2011. This may be Bungie’s first ever foray into creating a game that is more parts RPG than it is FPS, but if
Destiny Beta Launch Possibly in May?
This is just speculation If any of ya’ll read Bungie’s latest weekly update, you read this… “…Luke Smith stopped by my desk. When he stops by, I listen. In the golden age of Halo 3, he walked this very beat. Now, he’s a game designer with grand conspiracies to send you screaming into the darkness of Destiny’s endgame. Like a veteran of the force, as he did the other day, he imparts his wisdom on rookie cops like me. “Can you feel it?” he asked. “This is my favorite part. These next eight weeks are where it all comes together.”
