Bungie and IGN take us on a tour of Destiny’s Shores of Time Crucible map on Venus. On July 17, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 players can begin playing the beta. The beta will then go offline for maintenance on Monday, July 21, and return on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on Wednesday, July 23. The beta ends on Sunday, July 27. Announcement from DeeJ: To those of you who make an appearance in the Tower… or in the frontiers beyond its walls on July 26 beginning at 8PM PDT, you’ll earn an exclusive emblem for the retail version of Destiny. [yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGFvpxXqudU’] We’ll be able to experience new subclasses at level 15, Bladedancer, Sunsinger, and Defender. [divider] They also sneak in that the level ‘cap’ is 20, but with your additional Light rating, it can be increased above 20. Motes of Light are also earned once you reach 20 from the XP you gain, used for purchasing cool gear among other things from the speaker. Once you’re 20, you need to use armor’s Light rating

There were homework assignments to ready us for your onslaught on every platform. I love take home playtests. Destiny is available at my desk every day. I watch urk and OJ play from the corner of my eye while I patrol our social graph for wisdom or evil. For some reason, my favorite place to play Destiny is on my own couch. The experience just feels more real there, in that place where I’ve waged countless battles with old friends.
