Companion App Walkthrough

IGN has had the chance to toy around with Destiny’s companion app for mobile devices. They have made it clear that this is not just another gimmick, but rather a uniquely useful app for players who are not directly in front of their console. How to Stream Beta Gameplay from Consoles

Bungie just released this informative guide for those of you looking to stream or share your beta gameplay. [divider] The Destiny Beta launches on July 17th. It’s almost time to share your experiences in the wild with your fans and followers from around the globe. Following these easy steps to stream and share your Destiny gameplay and become legend! Streaming from a PlayStation 4 game console: The PS4 system allows you to quickly and easily broadcast your Destiny adventures via Twitch or USTREAM following these simple steps: 1.      While playing Destiny, press the SHARE button on your DualShock 4 controller.

Beta Gameplay Details

According to an alleged promotional flyer from GameStop/EB games, the Destiny beta will include: Four story chapters Four competitive multiplayer maps (Shores of Time, Rusted Lands, Blind Watch, First Light) A cooperative strike A huge world to explore with your unique guardian The flyer was posted on the Destiny subreddit and is still considered a rumor until an official statement has been made.

Bungie has officially opened up console registration. To celebrate, DestinyNews is giving away 10+ download keys! Comment on our FB post which console and region you will be playing in (PS3 & EU – for example). 🙂 These marketplace codes will be available on July 17th for Playstation users, and July 23rd for Xbox users.

Blind Watch

Bungie takes us on a tour of Destiny’s Blind Watch map on Mars. Watch as they show us the new location and dive into some strategy with a walking tour of the map with Bungie lead designer Lars Bakken. Lars explains that if you are at least 20 meters within your teammate who picks up the heavy ammo, you’ll also receive it.   Watch a Titan take on a team that obliterates the competition in this first gameplay video of Mars: Blind Watch in the Crucible.

Rusted Lands

Bungie takes us on a tour of Destiny’s Rusted Lands map on Earth. Watch as they show us the new location and dive into some strategy for this Crucible location with a walking tour of the map with Bungie lead designer Lars Bakken. Unfortunately as confirmed by Lars, Control will be the only Crucible gametype available to play in the Beta.
