Greetings, Guardians. Are you ready for the next season? Maybe ready for that sweet, sweet anti-cheat? Or maybe you’re like me and are most hyped for the changes to Fighting Lion. Who knows? All I know is Xur is back, and he’s got Exotic niceties for sale at the Tower. Which ones? Let’s find out.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
Trinity Ghoul
From the Forsaken expansion, Trinity Ghoul is an Exotic Bow that blasts unlucky enemies with lightning. One of its two unique Perks, Split Electron, lets the bow fire a split arrow whose spread can be controlled by fully drawing and aiming down sights. The other, Lightning Rod, rewards precision kills by letting the next shot create a chain lightning storm. By their powers combined, the two perks make the Ghoul a pretty neat PvE weapon, kind of like the old Zhalo Supercell, but with a little more work required. If you like Bows and/or lightning, give it a try.
And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:
Sanguine Alchemy
Fashionable and functional, Xur brings the Sanguine Alchemy chest piece for Warlocks. When standing in a Rift, its Heightened Senses perk lets you and your allies keep radar while ADS, and even marks stronger targets for you. On top of that, Blood Magic extends the duration of Rifts you score kills in. While a bit of an oddity, I can see a place for it in PvP scenarios; you’re essentially trading mobility for better information. Situationally, that may be a trade worth taking.
Raiden Flux
Do you like Arcstriding people so much that you never want to stop? Well, that’s impossible, but the Raiden Flux can help you smack a few more enemies around per Super. The Synapse Junction Exotic perk turns every staff hit into more Super energy and more damage per hit. Bonk them with lightning and be rewarded with more lightning with which to bonk them. The Flux is a good pickup; grab it if you’re missing it.
One-Eyed Mask
Titans get a fancy hat this week; the terrifying One-Eyed Mask. The Mask gives you the gift of Vengeance, giving you an overshield and damage boost after you kill someone who dared to touch you in combat. The Mask is an excellent pickup, absolutely worth the grab.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Question Exotic Quest for a sweet Legacy Engram.
This week’s loot isn’t bad. Trinity Ghoul is a sweet bow, and the roll on this week’s Raiden Flux is pretty neat. Arcstriders are getting some changes in the very near future, so this may be the Flux to get.
See you next week!
