Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re out there doing great things. This week, Xur is at the Tower Hangar, near our old friends from Dead Orbit. Read on to check out his goods.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
Telesto is a Fusion Rifle that plays a little bit differently than its peers. The Unplanned Reprieve perk makes Telesto fire what are essentially delayed Void sticky bombs, rather than the standard Fusion Rifle death lasers. It sounds weird, but once you’re used to it, Telesto becomes one of the most interesting and satisfying Exotics in the game to use. It’s at its best in PvE, where you can take advantage of Harbinger’s Pulse to reload your weapons on multikills, but I’ve also had a blast with it in PvP, despite it being a bit suboptimal there. Telesto is fun. Don’t hesitate to grab it.
And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:
Claws of Ahamkara
The Claws of Ahamkara are a simple, yet effective set of Warlock Gauntlets, oh bearer mine. Their Exotic Perk, The Whispers, grants an extra melee charge. There’s a fair amount of potential synergy with Warlock melee effects here; check it out if those synergies seem like the kind of thing you’d like to explore.
Lucky Pants come with an Illegally Modded Holster that load a round into stowed Hand Cannons when you land a precision hit, and let you deal to your stowed Hand Cannon faster. I feel like there are much better things you could be doing than running Lucky Pants.
Actium War Rig
The Actium War Rig is a sweet Exotic chest piece that keeps your finger on the Auto Rifle trigger with its Exotic Auto-Loading Link perk. Auto-Loading Link reloads your Auto Rifles as you’re firing them, helping to bring some sweet sustained damage. If you’re a Titan who’s a fan of autofire, run to Xur and throw Shards at him until he hands you an Actium War Rig.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Question Exotic Quest for a sweet Legacy Engram.
Telesto is a fun weapon; I’ll always recommend it. Lucky Pants are gettable early in the story; I’ll never recommend them. Claws and War Rig are absolutely fine.
