Welcome back, Guardians! This weekend, the vaguely wiggly Exotic merchant, Xur, is on Io, hanging out in the Giant’s Scar area. What sweet deals does he bring us? Read on.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
DARCI
DARCI is an Arc Exotic Sniper Rifle that wants nothing more than to help you through tactical scenarios. It accomplishes this with its Personal Assistant Exotic Perk, which gives you information about targets you’ve been looking at through the scope. Information includes health, range, and recommended power level. It augments this ability with the Target Acquired trait, which raises target acquisition and precision damage to Personally Assisted goes. It also beeps when you are down to your last round in a mag, which is both unnecessary and neat. It’s a unique feeling weapon, and that bonus damage is nothing to sneeze at; do yourself a favor and give DARCI a chance.

Claws of Ahamkara
The Claws of Ahamkara are a simple, yet effective set of Warlock Gauntlets, oh bearer mine. Their Exotic Perk, The Whispers, grants an extra melee charge. Warlock melee abilities are by and large pretty good, so this is a pretty generally good pickup. This is the first time Xur has had the set since I picked up the Xur column, so I’d grab them and give them a try (oh bearer mine).
The Sixth Coyote
Xur has realized that Hunters need to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge more, so he offers them a Void The Sixth Coyote this week. The Sixth Coyote comes with the Double Dodge Exotic perk, allowing users to… double dodge. Useful? Sure. Gamebreaking? Nah. Grab it if you need it.
Dunemarchers
The Dunebois are back again, and they’re still good. Xur has an Arc set for sale this week. Buy them if you didn’t the last couple of times. Linear Actuators give your Titan a faster sprint and chain melee damage to foes close to your original target. Go fast. Punch stuff. It’s as easy as that.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random Exotic piece for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.
Xur has been on a nice streak of fun tools for the last little bit. Claws are somewhere nice on the fun/good axis. Dunemarchers are always a nice get.
