Xur Location and Inventory | 4/23 – 4/26/2021

Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re doing well. Did you see the new Armor Synthesis that’s in the works? What do you think about it? Personally, I’m glad they’re giving Fashion Destiny the push that it needs. Another fan of fashion is Xur, Agent of the Nine and vendor of fabulous Exotic merch. This week, Xur is at the Tower Hangar, near Dead Orbit. Read on to peruse his wares.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Prometheus Lens

Prometheus Lens is an Exotic Trace Rifle that melts opponents with a big laser made of fire. The Prismatic Inferno Exotic Perk adds more fun by widening the laser beam the longer you hold the trigger down, and the Flame Refraction Perk puts ammo back into the magazine on kills, extending the amount of fun available to you per mag. If you don’t have the Lens, go get it.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

The Stag

The Stag is a strange Exotic Warlock helmet. Dearly Departed, its Exotic Perk, gives you Rift Energy when near death, and leaves a healing Rift around you when you actually die. It’s niche, to be sure, but deHfinitely worth keeping if you like playing late game fashion Destiny or miss the original Ram skull helmet.

Orpheus Rig

Orpheus Rig is a great set of Exotic Leg Armor for your Nightstalker. The Uncanny Arrows Exotic Perk gives you Super Energy for every enemy tethered by Shadowshot, meaning you are rewarded for using your Super well by getting another Super quickly. Given the right setup, the Rig is great for all sorts of PvE content. Grab it if you’re a Nightstalker player.

Citan’s Ramparts

Citan’s Ramparts are an Exotic for the Titan who believes the best offense is a good defense. The Ramparts have the Assault Barrier Perk, allowing you and your Fireteam to shoot through your Towering Barricade. The Barricade loses some health and duration for this, but that may be a small price to pay for a one-way barrier.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.

Heads up: this is the first time we’ve seen Citan’s Ramparts in a long time. Grab them now if your need them for your collection.

Solid choices from Xur this week. The Stag is meh and we see Orpheus Rig often, but that’s definitely not the worst Hunter Exotic we could see by a long shot. The shining star this time is definitely the Ramparts, though. Assault Barrier seems pretty strong in a lot of situations.

See you next week!
