Xur Location and Inventory | 4/16 – 4/19/2021

Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re doing great. This week, Xur is hiding out at The Tower, in the back of the Hangar. Read on to see what he’s got in stock.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

The Jade Rabbit

The Jade Rabbit is an Exotic Kinetic Scout Rifle with a nice aesthetic and a fun Exotic Perk. The Fate of All Fools lets you chain body shots to make the next precision shot deal bonus damage and return ammo directly to your magazine. It’s also the author of this column’s absolute favorite gun in the game. It feels great to use and the Exotic perk lets you be a bit sneaky with your damage output in PvP settings. I’m definitely biased, but The Jade Rabbit is definitely a solid gun. Grab it if you don’t have one.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Starfire Protocol

Starfire Protocol is an Exotic Warlock Chest that helps Dawnbringers launch more fiery Fusion Grenade justice. The Protocol comes with the Fusion Harness Exotic Perk, which gives you an extra Fusion Grenade and gives Rift Energy on Fusion Grenade kills. Grab it if sun bombs are your thing.

Lucky Raspberry

A throwback Exotic, Lucky Raspberry is a Hunter Chest piece that gives your Arc grenades a bit more of everything. The Probability Matrix Exotic Perk makes your Arcbolt Grenades chain further and gives them a chance to reset on damage. Like any Hunter Exotic I have to do research on, I can’t recommend it. Despite the plethora of horrid Hunter Exotics, there are much better things you could be doing than using Lucky Raspberry.

Ashen Wake

Ashen Wake, a set of Exotic Titan Arms, lets you fling Fusion Grenades at a higher speed with more tracking, thanks to the Bring the Heat perk. Even better? The grenades explode on contact with enemies. Pick them up and practice your pitch, but be warned: your faster grenades don’t get any extra damage.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.

Xur wants grenades thrown this week, I guess. Ashen Wake is a welcome surprise, though; we haven’t seen it in over a year, judging by my past articles. I consider The Jade Rabbit to be a priority, but I’m absolutely biased. The rest of this week’s Exotics seem optional at best. Save your Shards.

See you next week!
