Greetings, Guardians, and Happy New Year! December is almost over, but Xur has snuck in for one last round of gifts. He’s at the EDZ; read on to see what he’s got.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
Vigilance Wing
Vigilance Wing is an Exotic Pulse Rifle with a neat look and a couple of nice tricks. The first is Harsh Truths, an Exotic Perk that gives the rifle a 5-round burst. The second is Last Stand, which improves performance and recovery time when you’re the last remaining member of your Fireteam.
And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:
Sunbracers
Sunbreakers are Exotic Warlock Gauntlets that allow you to provide opponents with more Vitamin D. By this, I mean their Helium Spirals perk makes your Solar Grenades last longer, up to 8 seconds. But that’s not all; Impact Induction makes Melee hits replenish Grenade energy, so you can keep throwing tiny Suns at your enemies if you’re aggressive enough. These used to be given away as a quest reward in the early stretch of the game, so you might already have them. If you don’t, give them a look.
St0mp-EE5
For Hunters that want to move faster, jump higher, and slide further, Xur provides some St0mp-EE5s. Their Hydraulic Boosters perk… does everything I said in the last sentence, and that’s great, because mobility is generally a very nice thing.
Heart of Inmost Light
For the Titan lacking that extra glow, Xur offers the Heart of Inmost Light. The Exotic Chest piece’s Overflowing Light empowers your other class abilities when you use one. For example, Shoulder Charging would empower your Grenade, and vice versa. It’s an oddity, but with practice, it’s a solid pickup.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, along with the Exotic Quest “The Question.”
The Witch Queen DLC added Legendary weapons and armor to Xur’s weekly drops, at 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer per item. They are:

- Arsenic Bite-4b (Energy Bow)
- Nature of the Beast (Energy Hand Cannon)
- IKELOS_SR_v1.0.2 (Energy Sniper Rifle)
- Truthteller (Grenade Launcher)
