Xur Location and inventory | 11/6 – 11/9

Greetings, Guardians. October has come and gone, and the holidays are quickly approaching. Why not buy yourself something nice from Xur, the Exotic merchant we all know and trust even though we can’t see his face? He’s hiding out on Io this week, above a cave near Giant’s Scar. Read on to see what Exotic goods he’s brought this weekend.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Fighting Lion

💪🦁

Xur’s weapon this week is the Exotic Grenade Launcher, Fighting Lion. It’s a strange one, but if you take some time to learn its intricacies, you may well be rewarded for your efforts. The Lion’s Exotic perk, Delayed Gratification, allows you to bounce shots off of surfaces, only exploding when you release the trigger. Pair that with Thin the Herd, which rewards direct hits with extra shield damage and Primary Ammo on kill, and you’ve got a fun, if niche, weapon.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Promethium Spur

Promethium Spur is a strange, niche set of leg armor for Dawnblade Warlocks. When you break somebody’s day with… Daybreak, Embers of Light triggers and spawns a healing and Empowering Rift where they died. Is the intended use case to snipe a kill from somebody in close quarters with the enemy and save them with the Rift? Hard to tell.

Wormhusk Crown

Hunters this week get access to the Wormhusk Crown, an Exotic Helmet that aims to keep them alive. Burning Soul, the Crown’s Exotic Perk, allows you to regain a bit of health and shielding when you dodge roll. If you didn’t complete Warmind, go ahead and grab the Crown; tools that help you stay alive are pretty solid.

Actium War Rig

The Actium War Rig is a sweet Exotic chest piece that keeps your finger on the Auto Rifle trigger with its Exotic Auto-Loading Link perk. Auto-Loading Link reloads your Auto Rifles as you’re firing them, helping to bring some sweet sustained damage. If you’re a Titan who’s a fan of autofire, run to Xur and throw Shards at him until he hands you an Actium War Rig.

It’s rare that I finish the write-up and find the Warlock Exotic to be the one that’s lacking. Everything else here seems worth the grab to me. Fighting Lion is right in my strike zone of niche and fun, so I’ll always recommend it. Crown and War Rig are pretty good at their jobs. The Spur, though… not as interesting, unless you love the Rift mechanic.

Which Exotics do you like this week? Will my editor notice my Fighting Lion emoji? Leave a comment with an answer to either of those questions. See you next week!
