Xur Location and inventory | 10/16 – 10/19

Welcome back, Guardians. Feeling spooky? I know I am. Let’s see if our resident Exotic merchant, Xur, is feeling the same on Io, near the Giant’s Scar area. Will he provide tricks or treats? Will the bad Halloween jokes continue? Read on to find out.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Known in D1 as the Queenbreaker’s Bow, the Queenbreaker is essentially a Fallen Wire Rifle turned Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle. Wired Rifling is the gun’s Exotic Perk, allowing its shots to blind targets, but how it fires is based on the sights you choose. Marksman Sights give you higher zoom and damage at the cost of charge time, while Combat Sights give better charge time and handling to replace the zoom and damage. The Queenbreaker is sweet, and I’m glad to see it pop up in Xur’s stash. Grab it if you don’t have it; you won’t be disappointed.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Getaway Artist

Getaway Artist is a newer exotic gauntlet with a pretty neat ability. Dynamic Duo lets you trade your grenade for a follower Arc Turret, or as they’ve always been called around me, Arc Buddy. It seems situational at first glance, but the Arc Buddy is pretty good. Give the Getaway Artist a shot if you haven’t yet.

Lucky Raspberry

Another throwback Exotic, Lucky Raspberry is a Hunter Chest piece that gives your Arc grenades a bit more of everything. The Probability Matrix Exotic Perk makes your Arcbolt Grenades chain further and gives them a chance to reset on damage. Like any Hunter Exotic I have to do research on, I can’t recommend it. Despite the plethora of horrid Hunter Exotics, there are much better things you could be doing than using Lucky Raspberry.

The Dunebois are back again, and they’re still good. Buy them if you didn’t the last couple of times. Linear Actuators give your Titan a faster sprint and chain melee damage to foes close to your original target. Go fast. Punch stuff. It’s as easy as that.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random Exotic piece for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.

3 out of 4 is pretty good for Xur. I highly recommend grabbing the Queenbreaker, Getaway Artist, and Dunemarchers, then pointing and laughing at Lucky Raspberry on your way back to orbit.

See you next week!
