Xur Location and Inventory | 3/13 – 3/16

Greetings, Guardians! Welcome back! Xur is hanging out in the back hangar of the Tower this week, ready to shower us in sweet, sweet Exotics. What gifts from the Nine is he giving? Read on.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Coldheart

Worry no more, collectors; Xur is finally selling Coldheart again. This Exotic Trace Rifle was originally a pre-order bonus before Curse of Osiris dropped, so a lot of unlucky people probably haven’t had access to it.

Think of it a bit as the ice to Prometheus Lens’ fire. Coldheart’s Exotic perk, Cold Fusion, lets you fire an Arc beam (because Cold damage is not a thing). This pairs with the Longest Winter secondary perk, which amps damage the longer you stay on target. If you don’t have it, grab it and give it a try; it’s a pretty cool gun.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Chromatic Fire

Xur brings a Void Chromatic Fire this week. This Warlock chest piece lets you have Dragonfly on any (Kinetic) gun thanks to the Crystalline Transistor perk. The Transistor makes enemies killed by Kinetic precision kills explode in a damage type based on your subclass. This seems pretty useful in PvE settings, where both the explosion and the element can be relevant. Check it out.

Lucky Pants

…….

Xur, it’s time to stop. Nobody likes these awful pants but you, and at this point, I’ve got to believe you only like them ironically and sell them to make us all remember they exist. Just put them away, dude; I’m tired of seeing Hunters weep when you approach them with the Pants.

Ashen Wake

Are you a Solar Titan? Do you like tossing grenades at your opponents, instead of vaguely near them? Then Xur has brought you a great gift this week, in the form of a Solar Ashen Wake.

These Exotic Gauntlets let you fling Fusion Grenades at a higher speed with more tracking, thanks to the Bring the Heat perk. Even better? The grenades explode on contact with enemies. Pick them up and practice your pitch, but be warned: your faster grenades don’t get any extra damage.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random Exotic piece for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.

Interesting items this week. Nothing explicitly broken, but plenty of things that change your gameplay in a way your enemies may not see coming. Weird how Hunters haven’t had an Exotic for two weeks straight now. Seems like a bug; someone should really get on that.

Thanks for reading, Guardians. See you next week!
