A new Destiny trailer for Venus was premiered yesterday that showed off some exotic armor and Vanguard weapons, as well as a sneak peak of a high level enemy called a Vex Oracle! The Vex
Sun Tzu once said ‘If you know your enemy and know yourself, and you need not fear the result of a hundred battles”. A kind of modified terminator-alien hybrid, The vex are definitely the race that is most influenced by Sci-Fi and they’re made from a material like hammered, burnished bronze. Community member DBMgamer0722 has a great video revealing all of the Vex classes and a few of their mysteries. Hailing from the Citadel, their home base on the lush planet of Venus, the Vex are a time-traveling race of robotic enemies who overwhelm their enemies with what feels like an infinite army. Devoid
Venus Trailer
Venus was once the site of a great discovery – a paradise. Now, it is a monument to all that we have lost. [divider] We see the Exotic Sunbreakers, Thorn, Mask of the Third Man, and An Insurmountable Skullfort
In Depth Look at the Bladedancer
DattoDoesDestiny once again has another level 15 subclass guide, this time looking at the Bladedancer Hunter subclass in a little bit more detail. He goes over every skill and talent and discusses what talents will be the best (and worst) in each aspect of the game. If you missed his Sunsinger video, check that out here. This video explores a few unlikely coincidences involving Destiny’s Tricorn, it’s release date coinciding with a supermoon, and the image of the Wolf.
The Hive
As of the Beta, we know that Destiny will feature four enemy races: the Fallen, Hive, Cabal and Vex. Although there is still a lot to learn about our enemies, DestinyOverwatch covers everything known about the Hive, including their classes and motivations. The Cabal
The Cabal are a large, rhino-like species that inhabit Mars. They are powerful, especially at close range, and are well armored with body armor and, for some classes, thick shields. They are predominantly militaristic in nature (Spartans/Romans). Community member DBMgamer0722 has a great video revealing all of the Cabal classes, as well as touching on some of their symbolism. Imagine a Roman legion, populated by cloned versions of Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and you’ll have a sense of the brute power and militaristic might brought forth by the cabal, a race of steamrolling conquerors who tend to solve problems by blowing them up.
The Fallen
As of the Beta, we know that Destiny will feature four enemy races: the Fallen, Hive, Cabal and Vex. Although there is still a lot to learn about our enemies, DestinyOverwatch covers everything known about the Fallen, including their past, the different classes, their arsenal, ‘houses’ and more!
Mars Trailer
What little we know of Mars may as well be a myth. We built a massive metropolis in the red dust. No one knows what remains of our lost age, now buried beneath the dunes. [divider] We see the Exotic Thorn, Sunbreakers, Young Ahamkara’s Spine, and The Armamentarium equipped.
