Xur Location and Inventory | 7/16 – 7/19/2021

Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re doing well. Know who’s always doing well (thanks to the constant influx of your wonderful Legendary Shards)? That’s right, Xur, the wiggliest merchant around. He’s hiding out at the Tower Hangar this weekend; read on to see what he’s brought along.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Sunshot is an Exotic Hand Cannon, and, much like the Sun itself, a deadly laser. Sunshot’s Exotic Sunburn Perk makes rounds explosive, while also highlighting targets hit by Sunshot. Honestly, I think the gun is a bit underrated, but there’s every chance you already got a Sunshot in the Red War campaign, which makes buying one seem kind of unnecessary. Pick it up and give it a try if you missed it, though.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Ophidian Aspect

For the Warlocks, Xur brings a set of Ophidian Aspect Gauntlets. These snek gloves carry the Cobra Totemic Exotic perk, allowing you to ready your weapons faster, reload faster, and melee from slightly further away. They’re good at everything; pick them up if you need them.

Ophidia Spathe

Ophidia Spathe is an Exotic Hunter Chest that gives Gunslingers another Throwing Knife with its Scissor Fingers Exotic Perk. It also has snakes all over it. If either of these facts speak to you, go for it. You’ll definitely have better options, though.

Severance Enclosure

Severance Enclosure is a Titan Chest that allows for some spicy chained kills. Its intrinsic Spheromatik Trigger perk makes elemental melee kills trigger an explosion of the same element. This explosion is larger and more damaging if caused by a finisher or melee hit. Titans aren’t exactly hurting for good Exotics, but this is a cool, if niche, option.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Question Exotic Quest for a sweet Legacy Engram.

This is the first time Ophidian Aspect has shown up in Xur’s weekly haul for quite a while. If you’re a collector without it, now may be a good time to invest some Shards.

See you next week!
