Xur Location and Inventory | 6/11 – 6/14/2021

Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re out there living the dream. This weekend, Xur is hanging out at the Tower, near our old friends from Dead Orbit. Read on to see what he’s got for sale.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Two-Tailed Fox

Originally a Shadowkeep pre-order bonus, The Two-Tailed Fox is an interesting Exotic Rocket Launcher. Its unique perk, Twintails, fires a Solar and Void rocket simultaneously. The Play With Your Prey trait augments these rockets; the Void shot supresses, while the Solar does damage over time. It might not be meta-defining, but it’s a ton of fun and extra stylish.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Chromatic Fire

Xur brings the colorful heat with Chromatic Fire this week. This Warlock chest piece lets you have Dragonfly on any (Kinetic) gun thanks to the Crystalline Transistor perk. The Transistor makes enemies killed by Kinetic precision kills explode in a damage type based on your subclass. This seems pretty useful in PvE settings, where both the explosion and the element can be relevant. Check it out.

Stomp-EE5

For Hunters that want to move faster, jump higher, and slide further, Xur provides some St0mp-EE5s. Their Hydraulic Boosters perk… does everything I said in the last sentence, and that’s great, because mobility is generally a very nice thing. The Stompies are a great pickup, to the point where I find myself unable to sell them harder. Good leg armor. Grab them if you need them.

Severance Enclosure

(Not sure why, but my archives don’t happen to include Severance Enclosure for some reason. Apologies)

Severance Enclosure is a Titan Chest that allows for some spicy chained kills. Its intrinsic Spheromatik Trigger perk makes elemental melee kills trigger an explosion of the same element. This explosion is larger and more damaging if caused by a finisher or melee hit. Titans aren’t exactly hurting for good Exotics, but this is a cool, if niche, option.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.

This week’s haul is all over the place. For collectors who didn’t get Shadowkeep early, I should note that this is the first appearance of the Two-Tailed Fox in a long time. I can’t be too harsh on anything this week; it’s all fine. Spend your Shards as you see fit here.

See you next week!
