Greetings, Guardians! Hope everything’s going well. Today, Xur is back at the Tower. Read on to browse his wares.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
Arbalest
The Arbalest is an Exotic Kinetic Linear Fusion Rifle, which is definitely a Lot Of Proper Nouns, bit also a really neat niche. Arby carries the Compounding Force perk, giving it more damage to shielded foes. Once you’ve broken the shield, Disruption Break kicks in, weakening the shieldless enemy to Kinetic damage for a couple of seconds. Is it great? No. But it’s a cool niche, and the flavor text is excellent. Give it a try.
And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:
Astrocyte Verse
Are you a Voidwalker who loves to Blink everywhere, but hates the internal cool down and lack of Radar? The Astrocyte Verse is here for you. Its Exotic perk, Move to Survive, lets you recover from Blinks and draw your weapon faster after Blinking. You also gain Blink distance and keep your Radar up. It isn’t the flashiest, but if you really like Blinking everywhere, it’s worth looking at.
Graviton Forfeit
Graviton Forfeit is an Exotic Hunter Helmet that helps you sneak up on foes. Vanishing Shadow, its Exotic Perk, raises the duration of effects that make you invisible, and recharges your Melee ability quicker while you’re harder to see. If that sounds like your jam, pick it up.
Mk. 44 Stand Asides
“Pardon me, coming through,” says the flavor text on these Exotic Titan legs. You’d be wise to heed that warning; the Stand Asides are a force to be reckoned with. At full health and when sprinting, the Exotic Perk Seriously, Watch Out triggers, giving an overshield while sprinting and plenty of Melee energy on a successful Melee ability hit. If you want to be the scourge of PvP, these are the boots for you.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.
Interesting selection from Xur today. The Stand Asides are nice, but pretty commonly sold by Xur these days, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you already had them. If you’re into purple hats, though, it appears you’re in luck. Astrocyte is nice for Guardians reliant on Blinking constantly, and Graviton Forfeit provides a nice niche for sneakier Hunters.
See you next week!
