Destiny Sells Over $500 Million Day One

According to an Activision Blizzard press release, Destiny grossed over $500 million on day one of release. [divider] Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard’s CEO stated: “Based on extraordinary audience demand, retail and first party orders worldwide have exceeded $500 million for Destiny. This industry milestone marks another blockbuster success for our company and demonstrates our unique ability to create some of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world. Bungie Talks Raiding

IGN sat down with Bungie’s Luke Smith to talk more about Destiny’s Endgame. Read the entire  article here on IGN. I think Destiny’s endgame begins as soon as you see the way the story ends. Rumor: Gameplay Scale Details

According to a post on the Destiny subreddit, Destiny will have a total of 11 crucible maps, 22 story mission, 6 Strikes, 4 exploration areas, and 1 raid. Although at this point it is not confirmed whether there will be more content included when Destiny launches. Update: The DestinyDB developer has pointed out that this information appears to be dated June 30, 2014. It stands to reason that additions/changes have been, and will continue to be made up

Trigger Beauty

It’s the little things that make Destiny such a unique and and entertaining shooter. That’s because Bungie’s attention to detail knows no bounds, even when it comes to the hand cannon’s trigger animation. For some reason, watching someone apply pressure to the trigger leaves me with an oddly satisfying feeling. Test it out for yourself the next time your in-game. PS4 vs PS3 Graphics Comparison

Watch these helpful resolution comparison tests made by DigitalFoundry. It’s no surprise that the PS4’s image quality benefits from things like higher-res textures and sharper dynamic lighting effects. View in HD for best results. For Xbox, take a look at this article. The PS4 runs at a resolution of 1080p (1920×1080), while the PS3 runs below 720p (1024×624). Beta Single Player Graphical Comparison Beta Single Player Frame-rate Test
