One of Beyond Light’s new Exotics is Salvation’s Grip, a Stasis element Grenade Launcher that freezes your opponents. This was advertised as an Exotic Quest before release and is already available! To find out how to get your hands on it, follow the steps below.
After you have finished the Beyond Light campaign, head to the Annex and speak to ol’ Drifter. He will have a quest for you called “The Stasis Prototype”.
The steps are as follows, courtesy of Light.gg:
1. Gathering Intel
Defeat Fallen Captains and Servitors on Europa to collect intel.
This step is easy enough. Captains are plentiful, though Servitors need a little more looking out for. I personally finished it by just continuing with the post story campaign missions from Variks. Those missions are required for the next step any way, so make sure to do both along side each other.
2. Locating the Prototype
Defeat one of Eramis’s council members in an Empire Hunt. Requires completion of the “Reclaiming Europa”, “Empire’s Fall” and “The Dark Priestess” quests. Visit Variks in Charon’s Crossing to purchase Empire Hunt quests.
Again, simple enough. Best advice I can give here, especially if you’re solo; keep your distance, use a Primary with range (Outbreak Perfected was amazing here) for constant damage. Snipers, Rockets, Anarchy, 1K all do well.
3. Stasis Practice
Eliminate combatants with, or affected by, your Stasis abilities.
This shows as a percentage but it was 1 enemy affected per 1%! Again, super easy step, I did this while doing other quests in the game as suggested before.
4. Lost Sector Rendezvous
Rendezvous with Spider’s associate in the Concealed Void Lost Sector.
Not much to touch on here…
5. Rendezvous with Drifter
Visit the Drifter in the Annex.
Ol’ Drifter is waiting for you to make the final plans…
6. Stealing Stasis
Complete the “Stealing Stasis” mission.
No spoilers, but it’s a cool mission. You’ll see.
7. Rendezvous with Drifter
Visit Drifter in the Annex.
Go get Salvation’s Grip!
As you can see, it isn’t the hardest quest Bungie has thrown at us, but it’s good to know what you’re getting yourself in for, y’know?
