Published on: Sep 28, 2014 @ 12:35 The story of Destiny is one that you create, and each individual mission is a story within itself. Bungie has built an enormous world with deep lore that they don’t necessarily want you discovering all of within a matter of only days. Destiny is simply a palette for guardians to adventure and explore. Even with this enigmatic setting, though, you still find a story unfolding. Killworthy Gaming, now partnered with DestinyNews.net (soon to be PlanetDestiny.com), has an excellent overview of Destiny’s story so far. Video: The Story so Far [divider] A Theory As we

Secret Bonuses in Emblems? (Update)
Published on: Sep 27, 2014 @ 20:10 Could these cool looking Emblems from the Speaker offer hidden bonuses? He sells each of these “Blessing” Emblems for 7 Motes of Light, and until recently, it was assumed that they were similar to any other Emblem (cosmetic). According to this post on the Bungie forums, the Emblems he sells actually have hidden bonuses. Remember: This has not been proven and they might not have any bonuses at all. Update: We have off-the-record confirmation from Bungie, that emblems do not have any hidden buffs or bonuses of any kind. [divider] Emblems: Blessing of IV – Higher drop chance from enemies

We’re working every day to support what the world of Destiny has become now that you’re a citizen of it. Building those worlds wasn’t the end of our work, it was a first step. The real job is understanding the game through millions of fresh eyes, and reacting. Working with the community to make the
‘Treasure Cave 2.0’
Published on: Sep 25, 2014 @ 23:44 With the most recent patch, Bungie has made it more difficult for some people to acquire very quick loot via the “loot cave” exploit. It had a good run, but ultimately this extremely quick way to earn loot was just not what Bungie intended and they wanted to reduce “the effectiveness of a humbling number of economy exploits.” “Shooting at a black hole for hours on end isn’t our dream for how Destiny is played,” the Destiny Dev Team wrote. “Expect changes soon which decrease the efficiency of cave farming and correspondingly increase engram drops from completing activities.”
