Helm of Inmost Light is probably the best Striker Titan Exotic helmet. Its unique perk will grant you the Death from Above and Headstrong talents for Fist of Havoc, allowing you to customize your talent loadout even more, and making your Super that much more powerful.
The 94/99 Strength roll is below average though.
- Rain Blows – Increases melee attack speed.
- Invigoration – Reduces melee cooldown each time you pick up an Orb of Light.
- Recklessness – Provides Death from Above and Headstrong for Fist of Havoc.
Should I buy it?
With “Death From Above” and “Headstrong” as gimmes, a Striker is able to select freely from the other appealing options in those rows, knowing full well that he or she will be able to make the most of their frequent and deadly Fist of Havocs.
Although its pure Strength is a little disappointing, the increased Melee Speed and utility of its signature perk is too good to pass up.
The Improved Transfusion is helpful if not revolutionary, contributing to survivability while allowing for some perk flexibility.
The Nighthawk provides “Big Game,” which has your Golden Gun deliver 6 times the damage of a single Golden Gun shot, while limiting your Golden Gun magazine to only one bullet. It also adds Keyhole free of charge.
- Ashes to Asset: Replenish Super energy when you kill an enemy with a grenade.
- Inverse Shadow: Increased Super energy gained from killing minions of the Darkness.
- Big Game: Golden Gun fires one shot, delivering 6x damage, while granting Keyhole for overpenetration.
Should I buy it?
This is absolutely worth using in PvE for the fact that you can 1-shot some very tough opponents, even Crota’s shield!
As you may be using this in place of your Achlyophage Symbiote, we’ll consider the raw damage differential to be at 6:4 ratio. Yes, that’s right, you’ll do 50% more overall damage from the actual impact of the shot with Big Game.
However, this damage will be limited to a single target, removing what was arguably Golden Gun’s greatest niche in add-disposal. Instead, you have a ‘boss killer’ on your hands, able to bring an Ultra to within an inch of his life in a single, well placed shot. You’ll have to decide when a particularly deadly enemy is poised to cause a big problem, because you’d be better suited with Achylophage Symbiote when trash is nearby.
Multiple shots also possess the capacity to take better advantage of Combustion, whose mini explosions can quickly match the power of the Nighthawk. If you can line up your target with a couple others though, it’s GG indeed for the Nighthawk.
Its pure Intellect, Ashes to Asset, and Inverse Shadow are the best possible combination of stats and perks to get you Golden Gun as fast as possible. You can abandon Combustion for Deadeye or Gunfighter (recommended) for the fastest cooldown on GG imaginable.
The infamous Sunbreakers… love or hate them, if you’re a Sunsinger you should have these.
The 105/111 Intellect roll is above average, maxing out at 121.
- Special Weapon Loader – Increases the reload speed of all Special Weapons.
- Serpent’s Tail – Causing damage with a melee reduces your grenade cooldown.
- Helium Cycle – Increases the duration of your Solar Grenade.
Should I buy it?
The perks these provide are fantastic if you set your talents right. Helium Cycle exactly doubles your Solar grenade’s duration. Unfortunately it doesn’t affect Dragon’s Breath solar flare.
An additional Solar grenade with Gift of the Sun is crucial if you want to take advantage of Sunbreakers‘ perks. Song of Flame and Radiant Will are also great as they will have Radiance last longer and have your grenades recharge faster.
In PvP and PvE alike, Sunbreakers give the same benefit. More control over areas and more damage output for your grenades. The Solar grenade can be useful in encounters when enemies come through predictable chokepoints, and for bosses that have multiple points that can be damaged simultaneously such as the Devil Walker.
