In Other News

“In Other News” is a new segment we’ve started to let you all know about some miscellaneous Destiny news or information that isn’t quite ‘news-worthy’ enough to warrant an entire article.

Take this article for example; there’s much more content in that article than you expect from reading its title, and we’d like to highlight that kind of stuff in these “other news” articles rather than clogging up others.

Expect these “In Other News” articles to have random, yet useful information, that you probably haven’t heard too much about.

Datto has an excellent breakdown as usual about stats in Destiny and how they stack up against each other. What is the best PvP build in regards to your subclass stats? What do armor, recovery and agility actually do for you in the crucible? He answers these questions and explains what you should be focusing on.

He also has a new video about the fabled Vex Mythoclast

Our friends at DestinyTracker have put together an awesome Emblem previewer, so if you’d like to see all of Destiny’s emblems as well as the namecard that you’ll have with it, click here. You’ll notice that the only Exotic emblem is the Eye of Osiris from the Trials of Osiris Crucible event.

Midway through this article, you can read about the sounds of Destiny. Audio Director C Paul Johnson reveals that “almost everything that you hear in Destiny was created from scratch, in-house.”

[divider]Marks cap

Ever wondered why currency is capped? Reddit user domsays explains in this post.

It’s easy to forget how big the casual community is in this game because the large part of the casual community aren’t vocal. They don’t get on forums or post to reddit. They are content to log on and do their thing as well as they can with the limited time/skill/direction they have.

TL; DR – the cap is for the casuals so they don’t get left behind.

This team put that question to the test, and surprisingly… the answer is yes!
