Crucible Legacy Weapon Reviews

All of these are obtained from rank-up packages.

Grim Citizen III

  • Pros – Very high Range.
  • Cons – Low stability & slow reload.

Recommended Perks:

  1. Red Dot-OAS, Red Dot-ORES, Red Dot-ORS1, SureShot IS
  2. Rangefinder, Crowd Control, Persistence
  3. Perfect Balance, Hand-laid Stock, Fitted Stock, Injection Mold, Smallbore, Rifled Barrel, Hand Loaded
  4. Hidden Hand, Feeding Frenzy, Grenadier

A member of the high-Impact archetype, not used much anymore. If you can’t get the recommended perks, don’t feel bad – try another primary until this gets a buff.

The Saterienne Rapier

  • Pros – High Range & Stability.
  • Cons – Low mag size.

Recommended PvP Perks:

  1. Red Dot-OAS, Red Dot-ORES, Red Dot-ORS1, TrueSight IS
  2. Crowd Control, Life Support
  3. Explosive Rounds, Hand-laid Stock, Perfect Balance, Injection Mold
  4. Reactive Reload, Hidden Hand, Outlaw, Third Eye

Recommended PvE Perks:

  1. Red Dot-OAS
  2. Triple Tap, Crowd Control, Zen Moment
  3. Hand-laid Stock, Perfect Balance, Injection Mold, Explosive Rounds
  4. Outlaw, Reactive Reload, Grenadier

The time-to-kill is on the slow side, sitting at 1.00s, which puts it slightly outside the window of the best scout rifles. For comparison, the Chaos Dogma archetype is at 0.80s.

In casual PvP, this gun is very easy to use, considering that only two out of your four landed shots have to hit the head. Crowd Control and Reactive Reload can bring down the number of shots to kill.

As far as sights go, OAS is usually always best. ORES is also good for stability, ORS1 for range, and TrueSight if you’re looking for more of a close-quarters option.

For PvE, this is among one of the top archetypes. Since a huge part of PvE is trying to get as many shots off as possible without reloading, Triple Tap is the golden standard in the second slot, with Crowd Control or Life Support in second.

Unfortunately, perks that require critical shot kills to activate often times don’t play nice with Explosive Rounds, which has some issues affecting what counts as a crit kill and what doesn’t. If the damage from the explosion kills the target, even if the bullet hit the head, then it won’t count as a crit kill and Outlaw won’t activate.

Lord High Fixer

  • Pros – Good Range & Recoil.
  • Cons – Slow reload speed.

Recommended Perks:

  • SureShot IS/TrueSight IS
  • Rangefinder, Outlaw
  • Rifled Barrel, Reinforced Barrel, Hammer Forged, Hand Loaded, Explosive Rounds
  • Hidden Hand/Icarus, Luck in the Chamber, Life Support, Reactive Reload

Lord High Fixer is one of the most powerful mid-Impact hand cannons available. It’s basically Eyasluna with less stability and more aim assist.

The Rangefinder/Rifled Barrel combo is considered to be the key to maximizing its potential. There are a couple other range boosting perks also available, or even Explosive Rounds if you want to work on flinching enemies.

Y-09 Longbow Synthesis

  • Pros – High stability. Can Super Snipe Guardians at 7 armor or lower.
  • Neutral – Average aim assist.
  • Cons –  Very low inventory size.

Recommended PvP Perks:

  1. ShortGaze SLH10
  2. Life Support
  3. Quickdraw, Injection Mold, Snapshot, Hand-laid Stock, Perfect Balance
  4. Hidden Hand, Unflinching, Outlaw

Recommended PvE Perks:

  1. ShortGaze SLH10
  2. Triple Tap, Life Support
  3. Hand-laid Stock, Perfect Balance, Injection Mold, Smallbore
  4. Unflinching, Spray and Play

Once the most sought after sniper rifle, it has since fallen by the wayside. Don’t bother with it unless there’s no better option.

Two To The Morgue

  • Pros – High Range & Stability.
  • Neutral – Average reload speed.
  • Cons – Slow and sluggish.

Recommended Perks:

  1. Linear Compensator/Accurized Ballistics/Field Choke, Smooth Ballistics
  2. Rangefinder, Full Auto, Close and/or Personal, Rescue Mag, Crowd Control
  3. Reinforced Barrel/Rifled Barrel, Smallbore
  4. Performance Bonus, Replenish, Underdog, Exhumed, Final Round, Surrounded

This shotgun has the ability to roll with a wide variety of helpful perks. It sits outside of the current meta archetype of Party Crasher +1 and Matador 64, but it still can compete with the best of them.

Anything that increases range is good, and the perks that increase range and impact are preferred. It’s hard to go wrong with these perks.

Zombie Apocalypse WF47

  • Pros – High range and inventory.
  • Neutral – Average mag size & reload speed.
  • Cons – Low stability.

Recommended Perks:

  1. Linear Compensator/Accurized Ballistics/Field Choke, Aggressive Ballistics
  2. Life Support/Counterbalance, Eye of the Storm, Spray and Play
  3. Perfect Balance, High Caliber Rounds, Smallbore, Braced Frame, Quickdraw
  4. Rangefinder/Hidden Hand/Feeding Frenzy,, Crowd Control, Hot Swap

Up until The Silvered Dread, this was a personal favorite.

If you get Accurized Ballistics, you’ll want Counterbalance in the second column to stabilize the sideways movement of the recoil. If you get Linear Compensator (which helps with sideways movement) then Life Support is the go-to.

Try to avoid decreasing range, if you can help it, as this allows the gun to maintain its optimal time-to-kill at longer distances.
