Field Test Guide

Field Testing? Armsday? As of the 2.0 update, Banshee-44 has a special weekly event each Wednesday known as Armsday. With proper Field Testing, he’ll provide reward packages that you can choose from once you reach the proper rank. You won’t be able to acquire an Armsday package until 9/16 though. Each ‘bounty’ Field Test weapon requires a different type or amount of kills for testing to be complete. Upon completion, Guardians will receive reputation with the Gunsmith. We recommend completing the Nightfall Strike before testing the weapons – with the XP boost from Radiant Light, you’ll be able to reach Rank 1

How to Improve Target Acquisition

Published on: Sep 7, 2015 @ 15:40 The ability to identify, locate, and eliminate targets rapidly with your sniper rifle is a great skill to have in your arsenal – you just need some practice and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. Close quarters snipers and quick-scoping players are implementing a skill that takes a lot practice and bravery, but it’s not impossible to do what they do. With these tips and guidelines, you can enhance your ability to acquire targets faster and make your friends’ jaws drop. [divider] Commit to Sniping Great players are both skilled and comfortable

PvP Tilt: How to Control It

Published on: Sep 3, 2015 @ 16:03 Even the greatest Crucible warriors can get frustrated from time to time, but the key to success is recognizing when your emotions are getting the best of you. Like in any competition, controlling tilt can help you develop better habits and skill, win the game, and most importantly, enjoy yourself more. [divider] Tilt: What Is It? The term “tilt” is commonly used when referring to poker. Occasionally, a gambler can go on a losing streak and convince themselves that they will eventually recover by winning big. When this happens, they begin to lose

The Crucibible: Awareness (Chapter 6)

Published on: Sep 1, 2015 @ 15:42 Now that the basics have been covered, let’s dive into the meta-game. Mind games, tactics, map movement, spawn control, and other strategies are part of the meta-game; smaller, more specific aspects of Crucible strategy not made apparent in-game that grant a greater understanding of PvP matches and offer distinct advantages when mastered. In this chapter of the Crucibible, we’ll be talking about the meta of pre-positioning. You’ll learn how to give yourself the advantage before a firefight, and how to take into account equipment, other players, and your surroundings to win a standoff.

Stormcaller Subclass Overview: Updated!

Published on: Aug 26, 2015 @ 19:22 If Nightstalker had the most changes, and Sunbreaker the fewest, then Stormcaller falls somewhere in between. The new Warlock subclass was more than just bare bones, but had a few perks that didn’t connect strongly to the tone or feel of the class, and a few more whose abilities were ill-defined or lacking. Bungie has spiffed up the Sith Lord for their final build, and we’re excited to take a second look, straight into the eye of the storm. [divider] Stormcaller Grenades Bungie very wisely removed Lightning Grenade from the Stormcaller’s available pool.

Sunbreaker Subclass Overview: Updated!

Published on: Aug 26, 2015 @ 18:13 Our discussion of the subclass redesigns continues with the Sunbreaker. The Solar Titan is largely unchanged, with a few perks shuffled around and a few descriptions altered for clarity, but there are still some notable differences we’ll outline for you. As always, you’ll hear what we have to think about each talent and how it compares to the initial set that was shown at E3. [divider] Sunbreaker Grenades Much like the Nightstalker, the Sunbreaker’s grenades haven’t changed a bit. In fact, the only change is to the name of the Sunbreaker’s unique grenade:

Nightstalker Subclass Overview: Updated!

Published on: Aug 26, 2015 @ 14:03 A great designer’s work is never done, and this is why we warn you that no builds are final until all is said and done. Having said that, we’ve seen some changes to the new subclasses – some good, some not so much. We’re going to do our best to spell out in simple terms what changed, and give a brief analysis of the new perk’s benefit vs. the old perk’s benefit, as well as to provide other relevant or pertinent information that will help you decide on how you feel about these
