[divider]Patience and Time
Patience and Time is truly unique. It’s signature cloaking ability gives the weapon plenty of character, and the radar stays when you ADS.
As with all of the Exotic weapons Xûr is offering, they’ve got a base Attack of 302.
Patch Update
- Snapshot upgrade replaced by Custom Optics (provides a lower zoom option)
Should I buy it?
We have an entire review of this weapon which you can read here.
Designed to allow you to stay stationary for awhile. Being aware of your surroundings while being hidden from your enemies is a deadly combination.
The major issue you’ll find when using it is its small magazine. The magazine can be upgraded to hold 6, but obviously it just causes you to be conservative with your shots.
If you end up really enjoying this weapon, you’ll have to build your armor around holding more sniper rifle ammo to get the most out of it. Special Ammo Synthesis are going to be essential when relying on this weapon in PvE.
However, it’s one of the best Arc sniper rifles in the game. It’s unique perks allows for some very fun and sneaky gameplay, and it can wreck in PvP.
Overall this weapon is very well balanced, with the highest stability, and is a must-buy.

Stats Compared to Other Sniper Rifles
- Above Average: Range, Stability
- Below Average: Impact
Notable Talents
- Third Eye – Radar stays active while aiming down this weapon’s sights.
- Patience and Time – You gain active camouflage while aiming down the sights.
[divider]Ruin Wings
Ruin Wings are the new Dark Below Titan gauntlets, that are useful for either subclass. These were sold last week too, but this week the stats are slightly lower.
Talents
- Special Weapon Loader – Increases the reload speed of all Special Weapons.
- Impact Induction – Causing damage with a melee reduces your grenade cooldown.
- Seeds of Ruin– Heavy ammo drops more often, and contains more ammo in each drop.
Should I buy it?
These gauntlets are going to be a great choice for any Titan. As with each of the Exotics Xûr is selling, these will help you to reach the required Light rating for level 31/32.
The perks on these gauntlets are extremely useful as well, and work well together. They’ll allow you to pick up double the heavy ammo.
94/101 Strength (down from last week) + Impact Reduction are going to allow liberal use of your grenades. Also, the increased reload speed for Specials will be great for those who enjoy using shotguns/fusion rifles in the Crucible.
We recommend buying these.
Alternatives
- Vanguard Marks: Molniya Type 0, Holdfast Type 1
- Crucible Marks: Molniya Custom T1, Objekt 959 Guards
[divider]Claws of Ahamkara
Anything but Voidfang Vestments or Sunbreakers, right? In addition to the Obsidian Mind, Claws of Ahamkara was introduced with The Dark Below expansion.
These gauntlets have 56/60 Discipline and 58/63 Strength.
Talents
- Special Weapon Loader – Increases the reload speed of all Special Weapons.
- Snap Discharge – Increases melee attack speed.
- The Whispers – Gain an additional charge for Scorch and Energy Drain.
Should I buy it?
These are a must-buy, I shouldn’t even need to convince you. The perks will help out in PvE and PvP, and the Claws of Ahamkara just look amazing.
The Warlock melee is one of the strongest in Destiny, and having two charges makes it even better. If your melee ability isn’t up, these will help you squeeze out in a close quarters fight with their increase to melee attack speed.
The increased reload to special weapons is also handy for just about every situation.
What makes these especially awesome, is that they’re equally useful for both subclasses. I’d prefer to use these on a Sunsginer for the extra Flame Shield.
Alternatives
- Vanguard Marks: Viper Spine II, Dusk Tread IV
- Crucible Marks: Monolith Bleed IV, Symmetry Fang II
[divider]Knucklehead Radar
Each of the Knucklehead Radar‘s perks are great in their own way, though this helm might serve you best in PvE. This Knucklehead Radar has 97/104 Strength.
Talents
- Light the Blade – Causing damage with a grenade reduces your melee cooldown.
- Inverse Shadow – Increased Super energy gained from killing minions of the Darkness.
- Sensor Pack – Radar remains visible while aiming Primary Weapons.
Should I buy it?
The unique perk for this helmet is extremely useful: Being able to use your radar while looking down the sights of primary weapons (MIDA Multi-tool and Patience and Time have a similar perk).
Being able to use your radar will prove to be a great advantage, especially in PvP; being aware and prepared is key.
The PvE-focused perk, Inverse Shadow, provides you with more super energy for non-Guardian kills.
Cosmetic wise, the helmet’s foundation is simply a common hunter helmet design. However, it has a very nice particle effect that resembles a large holographic eye or radar, which makes for a very appealing appearance.
This helm might be worth buying, but only if you think you’ll benefit from the perks. The Achlyophage Symbiote is my personal favorite, but if you aren’t a Gunslinger, Knucklehead Radar takes the cake.
