Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re doing well. This weekend, Xur is hanging out at the Tower Hangar. Read on to see what he’s brought along.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
The Huckleberry
The Huckleberry is an Exotic Submachine Gun that trades control for power, thanks to Ride the Bull, its Exotic perk. Ride the Bull gives you more power the longer you hold the trigger down, at the cost of far less accuracy. It also gives you a partial ammo refund on kill. Pick it up and try it out; it’s not obscenely powerful, but it’s definitely fun.
And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:
Chromatic Fire
Xur brings the colorful heat with Chromatic Fire this week. This Warlock chest piece lets you have Dragonfly on any (Kinetic) gun thanks to the Crystalline Transistor perk. The Transistor makes enemies killed by Kinetic precision kills explode in a damage type based on your subclass. This seems pretty useful in PvE settings, where both the explosion and the element can be relevant. Check it out.
Knucklehead Radar
Knucklehead Radar is a classic Hunter helmet with a simple and useful perk. The Upgraded Sensor Pack keeps your radar up, even while ADS. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done, especially in your more competitive PVP modes. Just remember not to run it with guns that keep your radar up already, Knucklehead. If you don’t have this helmet, pick up a Void one from Xur today.
Antaeus Wards
A throwback to Forsaken, the Antaeus Wards are a fun and useful set of Titan legs. Their Reflective Wards Exotic Perk improves your slide and gives it the ability to reflect projectiles. It’s not easy, but once you get the timing down, you can reflect any number of projectiles, up to and including Supers like Nova Bomb. That’s useful and hilarious, making the Wards an Exotic I can absolutely get behind.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Question Exotic Quest for a sweet Legacy Engram.
Not a fantastic selection this week, though this is the first time Xur has had Huckleberry in over a year, so check it out if you’re a collector.
See you next week!
