Greetings, Guardians! Hope you’re doing well. This weekend, Xur is at the EDZ, at the Winding Cove. Read on to browse his wares.
This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:
Cerberus +1
Cerberus +1 is an Exotic Auto Rifle that, thanks to having four barrels, is very good at putting a lot of lead downrange. The Four-Headed Dog intrinsic perk more or less explains how the gun fires; erratically, using all four available barrels. At close to mid range, you are a wall of bullets, a force to be reckoned with. Try it out, and bask in its excellent junkyard aesthetic.
And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:
Nezarec’s Sin
Nezarec’s Sin is a Warlock Helmet that serves a powerful, if niche, purpose. The Sin’s Abyssal Extractors increase your ability charge rate upon dealing Void damage. This means if you’re a Voidwalker, your damaging abilities charge all of your abilities, including the damaging ones you used to charge them. It’s a fun loop that makes Nezarec’s Sin a pretty powerful Exotic.
Raiden Flux
Do you like Arcstriding people so much that you never want to stop? Well, that’s impossible, but the Raiden Flux can help you smack a few more enemies around per Super. The Synapse Junction Exotic perk turns every staff hit into more Super energy and more damage per hit. Bonk them with lightning and be rewarded with more lightning with which to bonk them. The Flux is a good pickup; grab it if you’re missing it.
Crest of Alpha Lupi
Not every Exotic needs to be flashy to be good; the Crest of Alpha Lupi stands as proof. Survival Well, the Crest’s intrinsic perk, makes Supers grant more Orbs of Light while also making your Barricades trigger health regen. These two effects are huge, and can definitely save a fireteam in PvE and PvP.
Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random piece of Exotic armor for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Question Exotic Quest for a sweet Legacy Engram.
I know I don’t talk about the rolls that often, but this week’s Nezarec’s Sin roll is definitely on the higher end of them. Even if you have the Exotic already, I’d double check to make sure this one doesn’t beat it. Cerberus +1 is a really fun Auto Rifle we haven’t seen in a while. Raiden Flux is better than the average Hunter Exotic, and Crest is always nice. This is a solid, if niche, set of gear. Unless you specifically don’t play some subclasses, everything is worth at least checking out.
See you next week!
