[divider]Patience and Time
Better than nothing? This is actually a perfect rifle sniper for PvP, not only because of the large magazine, but the stability can also be completely maxed out.
Check out how we place it in our PvP and PvE Exotic tier list, and we’ve also got an older (but relevant) review for it.
Should I buy it?
The cloaking ability of Patience and Time truly brings something different to the table. It can prove useful in PvE time and time again, but also in PvP, even though you’re not 100% invisible.
It’s worth using the weapon for this unique ability alone, since it allows you to do much more with it than you may be used to, but the max stability & magazine should solidify this purchase, at least for use in the Crucible.
It’s in the quick RoF class, but if you use Aggressive Ballistics, you’ll be able to kill shielded enemies after they’re resurrected.
Comparison
- Above Average: Stability, AA
- Below Average: Reload Speed
Notable Perks
- Third Eye: Radar stays active while aiming down this weapon’s sights.
- Patience and Time: You gain active camouflage while aiming down the sights.
[divider]The Armamentarium
The Armamentarium has perks mostly centered around carrying more, which is extremely versatile. This armor is built for those Titans who love to deal heavy damage. This ranked #1 in our PvP & PvE Titan Exotic tier list!
The 133/140 Discipline roll is poor, maxing out at around 181.
Talents
- Special Weapon Ammo – Increases the amount of Special Weapon ammunition you can carry.
- Heavy Weapon Ammo – Increases the amount of Heavy Weapon ammunition you can carry.
- Grenade Booster – Carry an additional grenade.
Should I buy it?
The Armamentarium makes a case for ‘best’ Titan Exotic by excelling equally in PvP and PvE. An additional grenade, with more heavy and special ammo (about 40% more) means you’re a walking armory, ready to throw some serious punches.
The perks are so great because they don’t limit you to a specific secondary weapon or particular grenade type, while giving the added bonus of holding more heavy ammo. The double grenade feature is especially beneficial to the Striker since they can crowd control with strong AoE Pulse or Lightning Grenades and disorient enemies with the Flashbang.
Buy it!
[divider]Young Ahamkara’s Spine
Young Ahamkara’s Spine will double the time your the tripmine lasts for, just like the Sunbreakers with the Solar grenade. With Tripmines this is especially useful, lasting a total of 30 seconds, if you’ve got enough Disipline you can breifly have 2 out at once!
The 103/108 Discipline roll is average, maxing out at 121.
Talents
- Special Weapon Loader – Increases the reload speed of all Special Weapons.
- Ashes to Asset – Replenish Super energy when you kill an enemy with a grenade.
- Improved Tripmine Grenade – Tripmine grenades last longer when placed.
Should I buy it?
Why couldn’t the ‘other’ Bone piece be sold instead?!
These gauntlets lose some credibility in PvE as Tripmine grenades are not a popular choice due to their singular targeting habits and are usually swapped out with something that provides more area of effect damage.
These are OK gauntlets for PvP, but ultimately we recommended that you wait for an Exotic helm such as Achlyophage Symbiote.
[divider]Starfire Protocol
Starfire Protocol’s main perk will give you an additional fusion grenade, but this does not stack with the Gift of the Sun talent, so you can only hold 2 grenades.
The 126/133 Intellect roll is way below average!
Talents
- Fusion Rifle Ammo – Increases the amount of Fusion Rifle ammunition you can carry.
- Heavy Weapon Ammo – Increases the amount of Heavy Weapon ammunition you can carry.
- Starfire Protocol – Gain an additional Fusion Grenade.
Should I buy it?
Touch of Flame allows your Fusion grenades to always ignite enemies, and in PvP this will help finish off anyone who you failed to stick the grenade to. Double this with Viking Funeral for extra ignite damage! While this does pigeonhole you into taking Fusion grenades, it does free up the Angel of Light or Touch of Flame talent.
Forgetting about the increased ammo you can carry, this chest piece is worth buying for the additional Fusion grenade alone, assuming you enjoy using that grenade. The Fusion grenade deals 100 damage in a small blast radius and an additional 65 bonus damage when stuck to a target.
