[divider]Immolation Fists
- 45 Intellect
- 40 Strength
Talents
- ACCELERANT – Unlocks the Sunbreaker subclass node Explosive Pyre for free. Enemies brought down by your hammer explode, chaining fiery Solar damage to other enemies.
- INCREASE INTELLECT or STRENGTH – Increase the Intellect or Strength bonus provided by this piece of gear.
- RAIN BLOWS or IMPACT INDUCTION – Increases melee attack speed or Bonus grenade energy on melee hits.
- HAND CANNON or SHOTGUN LOADER – Increases the reload speed of Hand Cannons or Shotguns.
Should I buy it?
The innate perk Accelerant grants Explosive Pyre. Exotics that give a free class talent are always a wild card: if it’s a quality perk in a useful tree, then it’s one of the best options you can get (example: Khepri’s Sting); if it’s a perk whose alternatives are not synergistic, then you’re better off with something else (example: Starfire Protocol).
Explosive Pyre is thankfully a very appealing perk for a Sunbreaker, and Flameseeker and Fleetfire are powerful enough in their own right to be worth slotting. If you choose the former, you’ll get a dual stat boost, and deadly accurate hammers; the latter will give you a stacking Agility/Reload Speed buff. Both play very nicely with the Hammer of Sol, so the Immolation Fists are worth buying.

Bungie’s answer to those complaining that “Golden Gun doesn’t do enough damage.”
- 50 Intellect
- 51 Strength
Talents
- BIG GAME – Golden Gun fires one shot, delivering 6x damage, while granting Keyhole for overpenetration.
- INCREASE INTELLECT or STRENGTH – Increase the Intellect or Strength bonus provided by this piece of gear.
- ASHES TO ASSETS or SECOND THOUGHTS – Gain bonus Super energy on Grenade kills or from Special Weapon kills on minions of the Darkness.
- INNERVATION – Bonus grenade energy on Orb pickup.
Should I buy it?
The Exotic perk “Big Game” condenses your GG energy into one, devastating shot that provides 6x the damage of a regular GG bullet – it can stagger Oryx with ease! Obviously, don’t take it into low-stress content where there aren’t any challenging foes; Achlyophage with Combustion will suit you better there.
As for PvP, Inverse Shadow is worthless and Big Game is essentially worthless. While Ashes to Asset and the Intellect score allow you to build your Super quickly, there’s no point if it’s simply going to result in one GG shot.

Sunsinger’s are up.
- 63 Intellect
- 65 Discipline
Talents
- PRAISE THE SUN – Further decreases all ability cooldowns while Radiance is active. Greatly increased Agility.
- INCREASE INTELLECT or DISCIPLINE – Increase the Intellect or Discipline bonus provided by this piece of gear.
- SCOUT RIFLE or SHOTGUN AMMO – Increases the amount of Scout Rifle or Shotgun ammunition you can carry.
- VOID BURN DEFENSE or SOLAR ARMOR – Reduces incoming Void Burn damage or Increased Armor when using a Solar-based subclass.
Should I buy it?
Even with a bad roll, this is a good-buy, if you have an excess of SC. With the right skills selected, you can become an infinite grenade/scorch machine when Radiance is active. Which grenade type to use is really a personal preference, but the ability to completely deny areas with Solar grenades while using this armor is very useful in both PvP & PvE.
Add Song of Flame, Flame Shield, Radiant Will, and Gift of the Sun to really give you an edge. Furthermore, if you’re with another Sunsinger with this chest, Praise the Sun is affected by other Sunsingers’ Song of Flame.
