As reported by Polygon, Activision has announced the release date for the House of Wolves expansion. As predicted, it’s coming on May 19th.
You can check out what we know so far about the Reef’s social space, HoW weapons and armor, and loot changes that are coming with the new expansion.
Trials of Osiris is also most likely making its grand entrance with HoW, and we’ve outlined everything there is to know about it (so far) in this article.
We also have a “wish list” of what we’d like to see in HoW; be sure to let us know what you’d like to see.
Bungie has also confirmed that the 1.1.2 patch, which will set the stage for HoW, will be coming this month (April).
Just getting started here. In other news, I still owe you all a go-live forecast for update 1.1.2. Stand by!

After House of Wolves, there will be what’s currently known as “Plague of Darkness” – which will be a “major content expansion” that’s bigger than what we’ve seen with The Dark Below and House of Wolves.
We have a second expansion pack on the way and a major content release coming in the fall and a very robust pipeline planned after that.
Beyond that, whenever you have a large and highly engaged community, there are obviously opportunities for us to deliver a lot of different kinds of content that we think that player base would find valuable and appreciate and that’s what we’re planning on doing.

Prologue
The official expansion site is also live, but it doesn’t show much.
Expand your Destiny adventure with a wealth of weapons, armor, and gear to earn in new story missions, three new competitive multiplayer maps, and a new cooperative Strike.
Expansion II introduces a new competitive elimination mode in the Crucible and an all-new arena activity – The Prison of Elders.
Elimination mode is most likely referring to the Trials of Osiris. Is the “Prison of Elders” the raid, or something else?
