[divider]The Last Word
It’s a weapon with incredible lore that really needs no introduction or help selling itself.
Check out how we place it in our PvP and PvE Exotic tier list.
Should I buy it?
Yes, it’s basically perfect for PvP. It’s that simple.
Comparison
- Above Average: Rate of Fire, Reload Speed
- Below Average: Impact, Range
Notable Perks
- Hip Fire: This weapon has bonus accuracy while firing from the hip.
- Last Word: Bonus damage and stability. Extra precision damage when firing from the hip.
[divider]Eternal Warrior
This helm ranked averagely in our PvP & PvE Exotic tier list, and it’s honestly one of the less useful Titan Exotics.
The 56 Intellect, 75 Discipline roll is above average, both maxing out at 77.
Talents
- Inverse Shadow: Increased Super energy gained from killing minions of the Darkness.
- Infusion: Replenishes health each time you pick up an Orb of Light.
- Resolute: Provides Unstoppable for Fist of Havoc.
Should I buy it?
While the INT/DISC split and Inverse Shadow are absolutely ideal for PvE, and Infusion an occasional boon when the situation is grim, the Exotic perk is too dull.
In the world of Destiny, where close-range death is guaranteed in high-end content, Juggernaut is a novelty at best. In short, the Exotic perk is simply not ‘Exotic’ enough. But if you’re content with the stats and Inverse Shadow, or just want to look horrifying, this helm might be perfect for you.
Unstoppable and Shoulder Charge are much more helpful in the Crucible. Shoulder Charge is the only melee (aside from Flame Shield) that will dispatch an opposing Guardian in one hit – and the cause of much consternation in anyone unlucky enough to be smacked by it.
[divider]Bones of Eao
Useful on either subclass, not only does this mark the first time these have been sold, but they’re actually worth the price for being somewhat gimmicky.
The 151 Discipline roll is average, maxing out at 166.
Talents
- Heavy Weapon Ammo: Increases the amount of Heavy Weapon ammunition you can carry.
- Not Bound By Law: Upgrades Double Jump with an additional jump.
Should I buy it?
While Gunslingers and Bladedancers both have need of Discipline and extra Heavy Ammo, both the former and latter can be found on Legendary boots. That one extra bounce is the reason to wear these – so are they worth using?
The Bones can be extremely fun to use when you’re looking to speed across the battlefield, or curious about that hard-to-reach ledge and what may lie beyond it – but for optimizing your build, they are not at or even near the top of the pack. Still, for an example of where the Bones are right at home, check out this wildly fun Crota Speed Run.
For most of the PvP crowd, these aren’t recommended, but they can be invaluable in PvE and are worth it.
[divider]Voidfang Vestments
If you didn’t get this chest the 8+ times it’s been sold, now’s your chance!
It’s got a very average roll of 150/159 Strength, maxing out at 181, but that’s slightly more than the last time it was sold.
Talents
- Hand Cannon Ammo – Increases the amount of Hand Cannon ammunition you can carry.
- Special Weapon Ammo – Increases the amount of Special Weapon ammunition you can carry.
- Improved Axion Bolt – Your Axion Bolt grenade spawns an additional seeker. Respawn with full grenade energy.
Should I buy it?
The Improved Axion Bolt perk will buff the (amazing) Axion Bolt grenades, which means more consistent kills.
This chest will work for the Sunsinger as well, because with the Gift of the Sun talent, it will spawn 2 grenades for you. The full grenade energy you get from Improved Axion Bolt will also work with any grenade, not just the Axion Bolt.
If you are playing as a Voidwalker, combining the Improved Axion Bolt perk with the Vortex Mastery ability (which increases the range of Axion Bolt) will make your grenades lethal and better at clearing out larger areas.
Because the Voidfang Vestments give you Strength, your Energy Drain or Scorch abilities will recharge quicker. This works well in tandem with a Voidwalker as Energy Drain reduces grenade cooldown, giving you another Axion Bolt grenade very quickly.
This is a good option for PvP, especially if you use hand cannons (and who doesn’t, right?)
