Roll #2 will max out your stability while making up for some of the range loss with Rangefinder. This is the ideal setup for the Thesan, although it’s too bad #2 doesn’t have Hot Swap – that would be perfect.

Roll #2 isn’t perfect, but it can be solid for PvE purposes. Headseeker will increase your damage and Injection Mold will increase handling and stability. These bonuses won’t be enough for solid PvP play, but they should make for a comfortable experience in any strikes and raids.
SUROS JLB-42
- Single Point Sling / Speed Reload – Cluster Bombs – Perfect Balance / Quickdraw
- Single Point Sling / Flared Magwell – Tracking – Javelin / Quickdraw
- Heavy Payload / Speed Reload – Cluster Bombs – Javelin / Snapshot
Roll #2 has Tracking, so you’re going to want it. Flared Magwell and Javelin are good bonuses as well, buffing reload speed and velocity.
Strongbow-D
- Crowd Control – Hot Swap – Single Point Sling / Hand Loaded / Hand-Laid Stock
- Last Resort – Hot Swap – Single Point Sling / Fitted Stock / Hand-Laid Stock
- Crowd Control – Spray and Play – Single Point Sling / Fitted Stock / Rifled Barrel
Roll #3 has Spray and Play for reload speed along with Rifled Barrel for range. Crowd Control will add more damage in PvE as well, so this shotgun can be useful in multiple situations. You probably won’t use it over high-impact equivalents, but it’s a nice roll in the meantime.
Jingukogo-D
- Last Resort – Feeding Frenzy – Lightweight / Perfect Balance / Rifled Barrel
- Crowd Control – Hot Swap – Single Point Sling / Perfect Balance / Oiled Frame
- Last Resort – Battle Runner – Lightweight / Hand Loaded / Oiled Frame
Rifled Barrel is the gold standard for range on a shotgun and Feeding Frenzy will make any reload after a kill much faster. This is a solid combination for both PvE and PvP, although the gun will have some problems in PvP compared to higher-impact shotguns.

SUROS ARI-45
This is a slower rate of fire Auto Rifle with a very balanced, middle-of-the-pack stat blend. Overall, it will need a boost to stability in order to become a reliable Crucible threat, but it’s base 48 range should keep it viable in most engagements.
TUONELA SR4
This Scout Rifle offers the Vision of Confluence impact/RoF blend with great base stability of 69 and reload of 62. With a lower magazine of 13, this scout should fit comfortably in Crucible situations and shorter PvE encounters, but reload perks can overcome this drawback.
Kumakatok HC4
This is a Down and Doubt 00-0 clone. It’s in the lowest impact archetype with decent stability and great aim assistance. Without a range buff, this gun’s 15 range may only be good enough for low-stakes PvE. However, OMOLON offers us plenty of chances for Firefly and Triple Tap, so this gun could definitely shine in Strikes and questing situations.
Herja-D
This has the impact archetype of the Vanguard’s Apple of Discord. It comes in with a fantastic 72 stability and 68 reload speed, so next week, we’ll be looking for Counterbalance to correct the awkward Hakke recoil pattern and more stability to make it a laser in PvE and PvP.
SUROS JLB-47
Being a Rocket Launcher, we’re going to be most interested in the rolls rather than the stats, but this launcher will offer us the right stats to be competitive in PvE and PvP. With a high blast radius of 84, magazine size of 2 and velocity of 74, the JLB-47 will give you everything you need to hit your targets, and we highly recommend placing an order to try it out next week.
