Xur Location and Inventory | 7/10 – 7/13

Welcome back, Guardians! Did you miss me? No? That’s great! I know who we all missed; Xur, Agent of the Nine and overall fun Exotic friend. Reports tell me Xur has returned to his favorite location: Nessus, Watcher’s Grave, aboard the shiny golden barge. Read on to see what Exotic goods he brought along.

This week, for 29 Legendary Shards, Xur carries:

Black Talon

Black Talon is an Exotic Void sword capable of firing a ranged attack after two consecutive heavy swings, thanks to the Crow’s Wings perk. To reward you for hitting that attack, Tireless Blade gives you ammo on powerful blow kills. If you like Swords, or at least the very strong potential of a Sword with ranged attacks, pick it up and try it out.

And for 23 Legendary Shards, Xur offers:

Claws of Ahamkara

The Claws of Ahamkara are a simple, yet effective set of Warlock Gauntlets, oh bearer mine. Their Exotic Perk, The Whispers, grants an extra melee charge. Warlock melee abilities are by and large pretty good, so this is a pretty generally good pickup.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves

For Sidearm-focused Hunters, Xur brings a set of Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves. Spring-Loaded Mounting, their Exotic perk, raises ready and reload speed on Sidearms when swapping to them, adding a damage boost if you’re injured. Not much to say; we can probably do better.

Dunemarchers

The Dunebois are back again, and they’re still good. Buy them if you didn’t the last couple of times. Linear Actuators give your Titan a faster sprint and chain melee damage to foes close to your original target. Go fast. Punch stuff. It’s as easy as that.

Xur also carries an Exotic Engram, providing a random Exotic piece for 97 Legendary Shards, the Five of Swords for Nightfalls, and The Invitation of the Nine for 9 Legendary Shards, if you haven’t completed that quest yet.

Overall, not a bad set of Exotics to pick up. Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves are absolutely avoidable, but Claws are nice, Dunebois are always appreciated, and Black Talon is a great weapon to pick up if you haven’t yet.

See you next week!
