Universal Remote

Another week of Shotguns! Just like Invective, the Remote is near the top of its class. Buy.

Empyrean Bellicose

Titans get a taste of Angel of Light with this helm! In addition to floating, “Orbs collected while your Super is full will recharge your melee ability.” To hover in mid-air while firing a weapon is both a good and bad thing. It gives you unparalleled vision and an unobstructed FoV, but comes at the cost of protective cover.

As a PvE helmet, it can provide moments of usefulness when your sight lines are obstructed or you’re being swarmed on the ground. Unlike the Sunsinger, Titans have no intrinsic perk to do this for them. Orbs refilling your Melee ability while your Super is full is a mixed bag at best, as it consumes Orbs that would otherwise be helpful again after you expend your Super. Regardless, it has a little synergy with a Simmering Flames build, so the whole package gets a low-ish B tier.

In PvP, this helmet has a high skill ceiling and pairs much better with Titan skating than AoL does with the Warlock’s puny glide. Try it out if you enjoy playing mind games or moving with unpredictability – of course, Twilight Garrison can do this too.

Graviton Forfeit

The largest dilemma for any Nightstalker is choosing between Keen Scout and Shadestep. With this exotic granting Shadestep automatically, that decision is irrelevant, because now both can be used- providing a staggeringly powerful neutral game.

It’s also a useful tool for escaping harm in PvE. Golgoroth’s gaze and the new HM Warpriest projectiles are obvious things for a well-timed Shadestep to make irrelevant. Still, you’re only going to get so much mileage in PvE out of not shooting – the overall goal should always be to stay in the fight and support your team.

Nothing Manacles

These powerful gauntlets grant you an amped up version of Scatter Grenades, in addition to a single extra charge that can be consumed at any time. They won’t recharge concurrently, but transitions and downtime can be used to give the 2-grenade Voidwalker maximum crowd control and trash disposal potential when they have precise aim.

In PvP, they’re particularly deadly in objective gameplay, functioning as mini Nova Bombs in conjunction with Bloom when clearing out a control point. You pretty much have to land the initial grenade right on top of your opponent – and even then, you’ll be lucky if he or she stays still long enough for the damage to be accumulated. As such, the extra grenade is a nice bonus, but you’re almost certainly better off with Voidfang Vestments.
