Best Armsday Weapon Perks

Incoming Shipments

#2 or #3SUROS ARI-41 | Auto Rifle

  • Hammer Forged, Smallbore, Outlaw
  • Hidden Hand, Perfect Balance, Reinforced Barrel

Sporting the same RoF/Impact as Monte Carlo, but with abysmal Range, there’s still for this gun because of the stability.

None of the rolls this week are awesome, but Rank #2’s roll offers us the best range solution along with a great PvE perk. Hammer Forged and Smallbore will take this gun to competitive range levels and add even more stability, while Outlaw can keep your clip full in PvE while you’re mopping up weaker enemies.

#3Herja-D | Pulse Rifle

  • Last Resort, Counterbalance, Injection Mold

The Herja-D has the impact archetype of the Vanguard’s Apple of Discord. It comes in with fantastic 72 stability and 68 reload speed, but as a Hakke Pulse Rifle, Counterbalance is our #1 priority.

#3’s roll offers us most of what we want. With Injection Mold and Counterbalance, we’ll have a much easier time aiming in PvE and PvP. Last Resort can come in handy when playing Trials of Osiris, so it’s not the worst perk to pair with two great ones. We’re still curious as to why the Injection Mold perk seems to reduce reload speed on Hakke Pulse Rifles rather than reduce range as advertised, but for now, we’ll gladly preserve our range while buffing stability.

#2Lyudmila-D | Pulse Rifle

  • Crowd Control, Counterbalance, Injection Mold

This is the third straight week we’ve seen this offered by the Gunsmith. It has base range of 63 and stability of 54, so we’ll want to preserve the range while increasing stability to laser-like levels. Last week, we finally saw Counterbalance offered, but we’re still waiting out for an S-Tier roll with Hand-Laid Stock.

While we still didn’t get Hand-Laid Stock as an option this week, Rank #2’s roll is pretty balanced for PvE and PvP. Crowd Control works great for bonus damage in PvE, and it can lead to seriously fast double kills in the Crucible. With Counterbalance and Injection Mold, this gun will handle and aim much easier. If you’ve been holding your package for this gun, we’d recommend picking up this roll.

#3Eirene RR4 | Sniper Rifle

  • Faucon SS1, Luck in the Chamber, Quickdraw, Unflinching/Mulligan

With the archetype of a Her Benevolence/1000-Yard Stare, this sniper can kill revived opponents with headshots in Trials of Osiris. Luck in the Chamber is The Taken King’s new Final Round, so while we don’t condone counting on body shot kills, it’s definitely a great perk for PvP.

Be prepared to see it in Trials of Osiris this weekend! We’d recommend getting on board with the Eirene this week if you haven’t already, because this roll is epic. We’ve got a low-zoom scope to pair with Quickdraw for super fast, closer range sniping. Unflinching can help you stay on target while under fire, and if you don’t feel that it helps enough, the newly-buffed Mulligan is now a decent option as an alternative. Luck in the Chamber gives this gun the ability to body shot kill with luck in Crucible, and in PvE, it offers a great damage bonus when emptying your clip into a boss.

#2SUROS JLB-47 | Rocket Launcher

  • Heavy Payload, Tracking, Javelin

With a high blast radius of 84, magazine size of 2 and velocity of 74, the JLB-47 will give you everything you need to hit your targets. In Destiny’s current PvP game, we need Grenades and Horseshoes, but in PvE, Tracking will suffice.

None of the rolls this week include Grenades and Horseshoes, but Rank #2’s roll offers a nice Tracking build. Javelin and Heavy Payload will make this Rocket Launcher a statistical beast, and in PvE, you will have an easy time hitting your high-priority targets with Tracking. This is a great roll for PvE.

[divider]Next Week’s Orders

Weapon Type Impact Notable Stat
Thesan FR4 Fusion Rifle High Stability (81)
Herja-D Pulse Rifle Medium Stability (72)
Lyudmila-D Pulse Rifle Highest Range (63)
SUROS PDX-45 Pulse Rifle Medium-Low Reload Time (90)
Strongbow-D Shotgun Medium Rate of Fire (23)

Thesan FR4 | Fusion Rifle

Last time this gun was offered by the Gunsmith, we got an amazing roll out of it. If you missed out last time, we recommend placing an order for this amazing fusion rifle. With 94 Impact and 81 Stability, it will be good with any perks.  Of course, that doesn’t mean that perks can’t help it; this gun can benefit from range perks, and reload speed is always key in Crucible and Raids.

Herja-D | Pulse Rifle

The Herja-D has the impact archetype of the Vanguard’s Apple of Discord. It comes in with a fantastic 72 stability and 68 reload speed, so we’ll always be looking for Counterbalance to correct the awkward Hakke recoil pattern and more stability to make it a laser in PvE and PvP.

Lyudmila-D | Pulse Rifle

This is Hakke’s highest Impact Pulse Rifle. We will always recommend placing a few orders for these, as with a solid roll, this gun can be the next best thing to an exotic primary in PvP. It has base range of 63 and stability of 54, so we’ll want to preserve the range while increasing stability to laser-like levels.

SUROS PDX-45 | Pulse Rifle

This is the first time this gun has been offered for order by the Gunsmith. It falls in the same impact category as the Crucible Quartermaster’s Hawksaw but with more stability, reload and aim assistance. This is an absolute must-order for next week. There are a number of perk combinations that will work for this gun, but we’ll also be looking for a good scope. The gun has 22 base range, so we’ll definitely need a fix, but if we get a good roll next week, you can expect to see this gun everywhere in PvE and PvP alike.

Strongbow-D | Shotgun

No different than Dead Orbit’s Patch-A or the test shotguns we’ve been using week to week. Basically, this shotgun is a low Impact/high RoF archetype that won’t be preferred in PvP but can work in PvE.
