Incoming Shipments

SUROS ARI-45 #1 | Auto Rifle

Now this is something we’ve been looking for: Quick Reload Speed! In addition, Feeding Frenzy is a fantastic perk for PvE and PvP alike, offering a more noticeable boost to reload speed than pure stat increases in most cases. With this large increase after kills, you can afford to reach for Rifled Barrel to get more range, and Fitted Stock increases stability to competitive levels.

SUROS DIS-47 #3 | Scout Rifle

This was another close one. While Rank 1’s roll offers Smallbore and Perfect Balance, you just won’t find yourself using Hip Fire enough to warrant it over Rank 3’s roll.

With the third choice, you’ll be getting Smallbore and Rangefinder to rectify any range problems this fast Scout Rifle may have had, and with these buffs, you can afford to then sacrifice a bit of newfound range with Oiled Frame to offer a dramatic increase to reload speed. This will prevent range dropoff in both PvE and PvP as well as get you locked and loaded for your next kill faster than any other roll.

Thesan FR4 #2 | Fusion Rifle

Wow. Looks like we’ve all found our new Fusion Rifle! Hot Swap and Rangefinder shore up the gun’s one weakness. The choice of Braced Frame or Accelerated Coils increase the gun’s worth even further, allowing you to make it a laser with perfect stability or a faster failsafe in Crucible.

Aoife Rua-D #2 | Sniper Rifle

Being a low-impact sniper rifle, #2 fits perfectly with a PvE/non-revive Crucible style loadout. You’ll want the ATA Scout scope for lower zoom, and Zen Moment will allow you to fire quickly at bosses in PvE. For PvP, the low-zoom scope and Snapshot are reason enough to choose this roll.

The first roll isn’t too bad either, offering perks such as Appended Magazine and Partial Refund to offer more shots per clip.

Eirene RR4 #2? | Sniper Rifle

This is a tough decision, and to be honest, all three rolls this week are great in their own way. Rank #1 offers Luck in the Chamber, a perk that offers you the chance to 1-shot kill with a body shot in the Crucible if you’re lucky. The final option offers Clown Cartridge, granting precious sniper rounds every time it activates.

However, we think that the middle choice is the best for Crucible and PvE. Replenish is a very controllable way to earn back 4 precious sniper rounds every time you use a super. This can get you 8 more bullets over the course of a Trials of Osiris match! Injection Mold increases the handling of the gun, making stability and aim speeds more competitive. Outlaw is fantastic for PvE, allowing you to get to the next shot that much faster after a precision kill.

If you have your own roll preferences, let us know what and why in the comments!

What to Order Next Week?

Here are some comparisons/rundowns of stats on this week’s Foundry Orders. Read this if you’re unsure as to whether the gun will be something you’re used to. The perks next week may be different than the ones offered this week, so be sure to get a feel for the rate of fire/impact model that you feel most comfortable with.

Zarinaea-D | Auto Rifle

We’re very curious to get a glimpse at Hakke’s auto rifle offerings. The Zarinaea-D has a rate of fire/impact similar to the Monte Carlo and Zhalo Supercell. With high base stability and reload speed, this gun will have a place in PvP, although we’ll be crossing our fingers for range buffs, as its base 25 range needs help for both PvE and PvP.

SUROS ARI-41 | Auto Rifle

This is another Monte Carlo style auto rifle coming in at a whopping 68 base stability. It’s range is about as low as we’ve seen at 17 though, so this gun will absolutely depend on range perks to have any use outside of close range PvP. Other than that, it has high Aim Assistance (72) and decent reload speed (54), so we’ll be keeping a close eye on the rolls next week.

SUROS ARI-45 | Auto Rifle

This is a slower rate of fire Auto Rifle with a very balanced, middle-of-the-pack stat blend. Overall, it will need a boost to stability in order to become a reliable Crucible threat, but it’s base 48 range should keep it viable in most engagements.

SUROS JLB-47 | Rocket Launcher

Being a Rocket Launcher, we’re going to be most interested in the rolls rather than the stats, but this launcher will offer us the right stats to be competitive in PvE and PvP. With a high blast radius of 84, magazine size of 2 and velocity of 74, the JLB-47 will give you everything you need to hit your targets, and we highly recommend placing an order to try it out next week.

Uzume RR4 | Sniper Rifle

This Omolon Sniper Rifle shares the impact/RoF class of the Eye of Sol, but it packs way more base stability. In non-revive game modes, this is a great rifle for getting quick headshots or double tapping for bodyshot kills. A downside to this gun is that you may not be as comfortable using the new OMOLON scopes, so this gun may get more immediate use in PvE where the stakes aren’t as high to get quick headshots.
