Incoming Shipments

SUROS ARI-45 | Auto Rifle

If you’re Rank 2 with the Gunsmith, the roll includes Perfect Balance, Snapshot/Hand-Laid Stock and Glass Half Full. That’s about as bread and butter as you can get for an auto rifle. We highly recommend picking this up!

SUROS DIS-43 | Scout Rifle

This week’s offerings for our Scout Rifle rolls offers a bit of a toss-up between. While Hip Fire is only a marginal life-saver, Feather Mag and Smallbore can turn this gun into a statistical monster at the cost of magazine size and reload speed. But hey, if you get the kill, you’ll have all day to reload…

Rank 3 Gunsmith offers less risk and a unique reward in Fitted Stock and Outlaw. Roughly the same stability buff of Smallbore without giving up reload speed and magazine size, and Outlaw will allow you to reload much faster after precision kills. For your third slot, you can either go for the vague but safe Lightweight, or you can use Rifled Barrel if you somehow anticipate needing maximum range in a situation.

Tuonela SR4 | Scout Rifle

The rolls are disappointing, showcasing some of The Taken King’s worst new perks. These vary in potency based on the situation you’re in: ranging from being surrounded by three enemies, lasting for a short period after revival and being close to death. Outside of Crucible viability due to Firefly, we can still find a place for this weapon in PvE. This can turn into a stable hard-hitting machine.

Single-Point Sling may help you to switch to other forms of DPS in the raid, and the Flash HS4 scope may be superior for mid-range situations than Rank 2’s Torch HS2. Plus, if you haven’t used an OMOLON’s imaging scope, this would be a great time to try it.

Herja-D | Pulse Rifle

This week is a tough choice. With Rank 1 Gunsmith, the offerings have little downsides. Headseeker and Rangefinder help your long range damage dramatically, Snapshot is a no-downside advantage for Crucible engagements. Injection Mold is an interesting choice, because the lost range can be shored up by Rangefinder. Overall, this seems like a cool roll to try out in both PvE and PvP.

Uzume RR4 | Sniper Rifle

Unflinching, Triple Tap, and Single Point Sling. Wow. The lower zoom Faucon SS1 is what I’d go with out of the available scopes. Perhaps this would be a good week to test this particular scope out and see if you like it.

While Life Support and Last Resort leave something to be desired, Triple Tap and Single Point Sling are great perks.

What to Order Next Week?

Here are some comparisons/rundowns of stats on this week’s Foundry Orders. Read this if you’re unsure as to whether the gun will be something you’re used to. The perks will be different next week.

SUROS ARI-45 | Auto Rifle

A slower rate of fire AR with a very balanced, middle-of-the-pack stat blend. It will need a boost to stability for it to be a reliable Crucible threat, but it’s base range should keep it viable in most engagements.

SUROS DIS-47 | Scout Rifle

This is a super-speedy weapon, comparable to the famous Dead Shot Luna and the Touch of Malice. Because of the high rate of fire and need for precision in the Crucible, we’ll probably be leaning towards a PvE roll next week. With a magazine size of 20, it should be great for PvE. Low Range with the trade-off of high stability.

Thesan FR4 | Fusion Rifle

Here’s the winner – it’s a must-order this week! With an apparent 94 Impact and 81 Stability, you won’t even need to worry about perks. Of course, that doesn’t mean that perks can’t help it; this gun can benefit from range perks, and reload speed is always key in Crucible and Raids.

Aoife Rua-D | Sniper Rifle

Aoife has equivalent Impact to the Low-Grade Humility and Patience and Time. However, with a base stability of 34, you’ll best be aiming for headshots and not double-taps. Hakke’s scopes are also relatively unknown, so you may have trouble adapting immediately in Crucible.

Eirene RR4 | Sniper Rifle

We’ll be watching this very closely. Like Her Benevolence & 1000-Yard Stare, this sniper has a ton of Impact behind it – it’s topping the charts of the new Taken King sniper rifles. Let’s hope the Faucon SS1 scope arrives since it’s got the shortest zoom. Even with a bad scope though, it will be hard to pass this up if you want to 1-shot all Guardians.
